County Wexford Youth Theatre
is recruiting
New Members
Aged 12-18yrs

So, if you want to be a part of one of Ireland’s busiest youth theatres, come along and join us on

at our Studios in

Bare Cheek Theatre Company, William Street Lower, Wexford.

Who we are: We are one of Ireland’s longest running and most prolific youth theatres and have produced more than 50 stage productions and 14 films since we started, back in 2003.

What we do: We provide training in all aspects of theatre production including; acting, writing, directing, stage management and technical theatre. Most of our stage productions are devised by the members and scripted by professional playwrights. We run three age appropriate classes each week and perform at least four productions per year.

Who is a typical member? A typical member of CWYT is a young person aged between 12 and 19 years old: who has an open mind; who is curious about the world and has something to say about how it’s run; who has an interest in live performance and film and is bursting to share their opinions and wants to be heard!

Do I need to have experience to join? Previous acting or performing experience is not necessary as we train you! We are looking for people with an interest in all aspects of theatre and film. Many of our past members have gone on to work professionally in theatre, film and TV as directors, actors, stage managers and writers – most of them had no experience when they initially joined us.

Ok, I want to join – what do I do next? Come along to our 2 hour open day workshop in the Studio on SATURDAY 24th  SEPTEMBER from 3pm - 5pm, where we will tell you about the YT; about what we have done, what we are doing and what we are going to do. It’s a fun couple of hours and some existing members will be there to give their perspective. You don’t need to sign up for this, just turn up.

Meanwhile contact: Monika on 0871316925 or email us on

if you have any questions.
